Microneedling Q & A

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive aesthetic treatment that uses a handheld, powered treatment device to create thousands of micro-injuries to your skin. This triggers your body’s natural wound-healing process. The result is skin remodeling, including the formation of collagen and elastin, the two proteins predominantly responsible for your skin’s structure. Post procedure, the skin will appear slightly pink to red and feel like a mild sunburn that may last a day or two. The most common treatment responses are, tightness, flaking, itching and some tenderness. The outcome is beautiful, glowing and youthful looking skin. A series is recommended for optimal results. A topical numbing solution is applied pretreatment to make the procedure comfortable.
